Had a tricky one recently, in that we were asked to install an aerial on a roof that had no chimney stack, it did however have a flat roof due to a mansard that had been installed. When we looked at the other houses they all seemed to have them on the rear of the houses mounted on their walls. We thought that this was not ideal, so using a part of the eaves we attached a small backet with the aerial attached that was as low as possible so not to catch the wind. We also used to smallest Group A we could find so that it would not look out of place.
The field strength was 62dbUv which quite enough for the customer to enjoy tv on his BT vision PVR.
